Hi!
I am Pamela Marshall,
THE West Cork Vocal Coach!

I have 50+ years experience in singing with many different choirs. These varied groups included /required the participation in their specific competitions: Madrigal, chamber, classical, pop, oldies from 30's 40's 50's etc, as well as female barbershop (which stirred my interest in vocal technique and application)
My college and university studies included pre-med curriculum (human science: anatomy, physiology, biology and chemistry) along with nutrition, business administration and on-going vocal performances.
I have an extensive religious/liturgical musical background and was a choir director for 15 years in the Greek Orthodox Church. This allowed me to sing, participate, and further develop my musical skills by attending annual choir conferences and workshops with 300 voice choir (conducted by various leading Eastern Orthodox Composers and musicians.)
Singing has always been a part of my life. Nothing changed when we moved to Ireland. Within the first three months of arriving in West Cork, I had joined my first Irish choir, Carbery Choral Society, under the direction of Nancy Long. Within a year, I also joined the Allegria/Clonakilty Voices Choir. In 2016, I joined the wonderful Glaslinn Choir for one year where we prepared and competed in Berlin Germany with international choirs in mid spring of that fabulous year.
January of 2018, found me pursuing yet another genre of music that I had only admired from afar. I auditioned for and was offered to sing with the Cork Operatic Society Chorus of which I am so honored to be a part of these wonderful Operatic Concert Series.
When my husband and I moved to Union Hall in 2011, I became involved with its parish choir and Christmas Carol Service, and Myross Choir was formed. I have been it's director since it officially started in Jan 2012.
As the choir evolved, it's name was changed to reflect our message and musical energy to "Shared Voices of Sunshine." We have found our strength in singing for fun and community. Realizing that we can spread happiness and joy with our energizing performances geared for audience participation. This has blossomed into my creating a Little Voices of Sunshine (Vocal exploration and education for 6 years olds and up).
My latest project for 2019 is Young Voices of Sunshine, an all inclusive youth choir of 8 year old children on up..
I strongly feel that vocal expression includes mind, body and soul. It was wonderful to find out that this holistic approach was so welcomed and embraced in West Cork.
So, if singing and speaking is important to YOU, contact me to get started on a fun and exciting journey of discovering the power of your authentic voice.
